Leo Quintano Receives Client Recognition
BRAVO! was delighted to receive a heartfelt email from one of our clients praising the stellar work of Leo Quintano.
The client explained that the company has recently moved a lot of new staff into its security office. He wrote, “Leo has always been extremely helpful and accommodating with whatever we’ve needed. He is extremely diligent and every time that I see him, he’s hard at work at one thing or another and our security office is cleaner than ever.”

Matthew Maxfield spent his summer learning the ins and outs of our business and we were so happy to have him with us!
The Development School for Youth (DSY) is the All Stars Project’s innovative outside-of-school leadership and business training program. Partnered with businesses and caring corporate professionals, DSY offers supplemental educational, social, and internship experiences in a variety of workplace settings. This training prepares inner-city youth to enter the professional workforce, pursue educational opportunities and face challenges in new ways.
BRAVO! Employees Successfully Complete Dale Carnegie Course
Congratulations to Mark Schnurr, Senior Vice President and Anthony Bertini, Vice President of Operations, on completing Dale Carnegie’s “Effective Communications and Human Relations/Skills for Success” course this summer.
The course is designed to help participants learn to develop and strengthen interpersonal relationships, manage stress, and handle fast-changing workplace conditions.

Rutgers Future Scholars Visit BRAVO!
BRAVO!’s corporate office had the pleasure of hosting Rutgers Future Scholars in July. Les Humienny, VP of Finance & Administration, and Trupti Shah, Controller, led theFinance module while Kisha Turner, Human Resources Director and Karen Weiss, Human Resources Manager led the Human Resources module.
Our leaders provided an overview of BRAVO! as a company and and how we operate. They talked about their bios and the challenges that running a regional company day to day encompass. The scholars also participated in exercises within their respective modules and they were enthusiastic and active participants. It was a rewarding experience for all parties involved.

Congratulations on Your Masters, Simona Buhus-Duffin!
Simona Buhus-Duffin, Regional Office Coordinator for the Virginia Region, received her Master’s Degree in International Public Service from DePaul University in Chicago in December 2013 and attended her formal graduation ceremony on June 16. Ms. Duffin completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois, Chicago before attending DePaul.

Ms. Duffin relocated to the Washington, DC area with her husband and joined the BRAVO! Team on April 21, 2014. She has brought tremendous energy and a strong work ethic and is rarely seen around the office without a beaming smile on her face. Her enthusiasm for even the most mundane tasks and willingness to learn and help others has invigorated the Virginia office and brought much positive feedback from the Management Team and all those she works with throughout the organization.
BRAVO! Family Pulls Together to Help Two of Our Own
When Tonya Brown found herself victim to vandalism and theft, and Liliano Alvarez from GSK Navy Yard experienced a devastating home fire, our associates pulled together to raise money, clothing and household items to help them get back on their feet.
BRAVO! and Control Temp Fondly Remember Two Family Members
Sobeida Rivera, BRAVO! Building Services Supervisor at REIT Management, passed away on June 23, 2014. Sobeida is missed by her team and remembered for her love of crosswords and brain teaser puzzles, traveling, and keeping up with friends and family on Facebook.
Control Temp Mechanical Services Dispatcher Joe Tricarico, passed away on, July 5, 2014. Joe started with Control Temp in 1996 and was an integral part of our team who is greatly missed. Joe was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with his significant other, Doty, and their African Grey, Trouble.
BRAVO! Control Temp Receives NJ DPMC Classification
BRAVO!’s Control Temp Mechanical Services division has received the Division of Property Management & Construction Classification to perform HVAC and Electrical public work in the state of New Jersey. Subsequently, Control Temp has been prequalified as a contractor with the New Jersey Schools Development Authority.
To receive this status, Control Temp Mechanical Services had to satisfy several stringent requirements. “Receiving the New Jersey DPMC Classification and SDA prequalification will allow Control Temp Mechanical Services to offer the professional services we are providing the private sector to the many public sector projects throughout the state,” said Gary Giambatista, Vice President of Operations.
BRAVO! Attends ERAPPA 2014
BRAVO!’s Mike Amoroso and Sally Denton participated in ERAPPA’s 2014 Conference, “An Ocean of Opportunities,” at Atlantic City’s Convention Center. ERAPPA (Eastern Region Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers) hosts the conference annually, which brings together the EDU community, from Canada to Pittsburgh to Washington, DC. Conference attendees participate in educational sessions, network with peers, and close out the conference with a recognition banquet. During the day, attendees and service providers can meet to exchange ideas and discuss the latest industry trends at the tradeshow.
