BRAVO! Receives Industry’s Highest Safety Award for 2013
BRAVO! has been awarded the 2013 BSCAI Safety Award for large employers. The award marks the fourth year out of the past five in which we received the industry’s highest Safety Award.

“Receiving BSCAI’s Safety Award for a fourth time brings our entire team an immense sense of accomplishment and we take great pride in each and every employee who helped us achieve this level of safety,” said Kathy Trivino, Director of Safety & Training. “It has always been our priority to foster a culture of safety in which every employee is empowered and accountable to make their job a safer one. The personal commitment and active participation in our BRAVO! Safety Program, from the highest level in our management team to first line employees is represented in this award. We extend a heartfelt thank you to our exceptional team of employees and suppliers who are always working to improve upon and rethink safety as we strive towards zero accidents and lost time.”

Just wanted to send a short note to say thank you for the BRAVO! team at Crystal Bridges. Yesterday’s event was probably one of the most important events we’ve had since opening. Our leadership had very high expectations on every level. Needless to say the entire day was very intense. We had several high profile people here, which required creative “work arounds” for everything from garbage/trash removal to maintaining the restrooms. BRAVO! did not disappoint. Jose took everything in stride and managed the staff with ease and professionalism. I am very proud of our BRAVO! team.

Appreciation for Support by Ana Chavez and Team
I want to recognize and highlight to you the incredible support provided to us by Ana and her team, and over and above the marvelous way they support us each day. AAALAC is a peer review process which is some of the most challenging scrutiny a program can come under. Having managed research animal programs for many years, I can tell you that it is impossible to bring a program up to accreditation standards overnight. Our facilities give evidence to diligent, daily care given by people who understand the quality standards that we must maintain. Ana and her team, through their hard work, really made us “shine” during the site visit. However, it is their daily diligence that keeps us “inspection ready” at all times.

We continue to be very grateful for Ana and her leadership in our areas. She and her team are phenomenal partners that we would be quite lost without.
